I moved to Park Point in Duluth four years ago and now have a studio overlooking the bay of our “Big Lake.” With a maiden name like Sjögren, meaning bay of the lake, it seems a very appropriate place to have settled. It also feels right taking my inspiration from Hearding Island and all the wonderful critters that call the bay home. I have focused mainly on the nature surrounding me with an occasional straying into whatever may strike my fancy. I love watercolor for its transparency, granulation, soft and hard edges, and mind of its own.
